Dreams and Aspiration
Dreams- a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal.
Aspiration- a hope or ambition of achieving something.
Dreams and Aspiration was the title of a ballet showcase I have participated last month. This has inspired me to chase my dreams. Sure there's a lot, but we can slowly achieve it step by step.
The stepping stone is to express my feelings through dance. Thus, I'm challenging myself to perform at least once in any school events. A dance that can hopefully show me what I'm looking for inside myself. To face the fears of the unknown, to conquer it.
Oh well, happy birthday month to me :) and let me aspiration come true.

Catwalk- a platform extending into an auditorium, along which models walk to display clothes in fashion shows.
Have you ever walk on a runway? Dressing up and parading clothes for others to see? Well, I recently have the chance to experience doing a catwalk on my school's celebration for Teacher's Day.
I don't really remember how I got involved in it but it is definitely because of Natasha. Eheh :) and from there, I dragged Cheng Yi into it too. Puan Joyce, our vibrant, fashionista teacher is the teacher-in-charge of this fashion show. It involves the Form 5s and Form 6s.
So yeah. It's a fun day with the guys and girls playing dress up and showing off their best poses. And we have fashion runway expert, Bernard to help us out. :) enough with the words and let's bring in the pictures. Hopefully, we'll see Nat posting up the video soon. Even though it's cut off halfway.

Eheh :) yes... I have forgotten to write the previous month's post. This is mainly due to my preparation for exam. Anyway.... Today's word of the month is........
QUOTE!!
Quote is defined as the repetition of someone else's statement or thought.
I have this fascination of collecting and writing down other people's quote/s. It's nice to know others feelings and relate it to your own. It inspires you to look for the silver lining in the clouds. Even when all hopes are lost, there's always someone or something out there that still burns the will of hope.
John Green quoted, " Maybe our favourite quotations say more about us than about the stories about the people we are quoting."
We assumed that we and the people we are quoting are able to relate to each other. However, the plain truth is that it reflects what's in our heart. It reflects back the words we are unable to form out or say. We pass on quotes to inspire others hoping that the inspiration that we have received will inspires others to reach for their dreams., to stay strong and to always be optimistic in life.
In a nutshell, words and quotes are a powerful weapon that can change a person.

Mannequin- a dummy used to display clothes in a store window
The recent Form 6 camp organized by the Scouts Committee is definitely a memorable one. Relating to this post, I have participated in an activity called 'Treasure Hunt'. In my group, there's Li-Syuen, Wen Sheng, Carol, Yvonne and me. :)We have to look for 20 pieces of colored labels with words/numbers on it. My group decided to split up the girls and guys to look in certain areas. Originally, both Yvonne and I were looking for the labels with. I'm not sure how we split away from Carol. Anyway, we went to Seafield Walk to look for our 'treasures'. Over there, we met Jing Xiang and Matthew. Jing Xiang being a clown decides to reply us in a spooky voice saying he's not him. And Yvonne replies back in the same manner. XD Scaring each other out, we continued walking through the dark walk.Passing by our school's history room, I scared Yvonne with some ghostly scenarios and accidentally shine the torchlight into the room. And I found a friend :) A ghost!! Eheh. Not really, it's two mannequins dressed in our Malay traditional wear. Yvonne was spooked out about it as she thought it was an actual ghost. That brought laughter to Jing Xiang, Matthew and me. Eheh. Yvonne mentioned that she'll never go to anywhere I have been before and know about in the location at night. Afterwards, both Yvonne and I brings some people over to the same area to give them the fright of their lives. But, none of them have the best reaction like Yvonne. Plan fail :PThat's all!! Enjoy and goodbye :)

Hi- used as a friendly greeting or to attract attention
- an informal way of saying hello
'Hi.'
That's the word I was given by my friend, Matthew when I asked him to say the first word in his mind. Thanks for your help as I'm in need to fulfil my promise in blogging once a month.
Hi. It's such a simple word that means so much. I mean you have other derivatives such as hello, hey, good day and etc. But, all of these greetings opens a new path to meeting new and old friends.
In fact, it'll usually follow up with the following phrases 'How are you?' or 'How's your day?'. My personal favourite will be 'How's life?'. Eheh :) My friends are usually afraid of that phrase once I said hi to them.
Saying hi opens up to new adventures to explore and gain many experiences. I guess what matters the most is to be brave to say the word. Cause you are able to help others by saying that simple word and they may help you in the future too.
So, let's pluck up our courage to say hi and change not only our life but others too.

busy- having a great deal to do
Busy is a word that describes me accurately. Every year I'll be as busy as a bee. One moment I'm there, the next I have gone off to do another work.
People asked me whether or not I'm drained/tired/stressed being busy all the time. And my reply will always be "I'm used to it since young". I guess.. If you have been busy 24/7 ever since primary school, it'll somehow help you in your endurance of going through life.
Currently, I'm still going for piano, violin and ballet lessons. Academic-wise, I'm taking my STPM. And I'm signing up for CBTS (Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies) course to enable me to kick start teaching ballet. To top it off, I'll have to prepare for Diploma examination for both my piano and violin lessons. For ballet, I'm preparing for my Advance Foundation 1 examination. It's a lucky thing that I decided not to partake in a ballet competition this year. Hehe~ maybe I'm a bit mad, maybe not.
I'm literally nearly staying back after school hours everyday. Haha :D when I told my mother about this, she replied wittily, "My daughter has been sold off to the school". I guess that's kinda true. During Form1 to Form 5, being part of the school's choir competition team requires me to come back to school to practice to keep up the top knotch quality of our performances. Being part of the board of librarians, we are required to come back during the holidays to help open the library: whether that'll be for examination usage, visits by other schools and etc...
Thinking back, maybe I prefer living a busy lifestyle as once I'm out of things to do, I tend to stare of into space; not knowing what to do to fill up the time. Tick tock. Tick tock. At times, being busy keeps my mind away from thoughts. Thoughts that can sometimes lead you astray to dark paths. Eheh~ :)
I guess that gives you an insight of what the word 'busy' means to me. I wonder what does it means to others.?

A new year, a new resolution. This year 2014 , I'll do my best to write at least once a month on my blog. Hehe~ that way my friends won't say my blog is quite dead. Starting from today, I'll write my thoughts/stories based on a word.
